On March 7, Antonio Sellers will attend the legendary basketball game between Duke University and UNC in North Carolina.
Sellers, 16, made headlines last year after his initial diagnosis, being called a fighter “on and off the court.”
Antonio was caught off guard by family members, teachers and classmates as well as Make-A-Wish New Jersey and Jersey’s Mike’s Subs, who told him that his dream had come to life, ABC reports.
The Duke fan and Hudson Catholic varsity basketball player will have his family by his side as he travels to North Carolina for the “highly coveted matchup” on March 7.
"This is something Antonio always wanted,” Antonio’s mother, Felicia Sellers, told ABC.
“Although he has to go to Duke and visit this way, I believe he's going to be visiting another way down the road. Our journey, we are just taking a different path right now.”
Jersey Mike’s helped grant Antonio’s wish as part of its 10th annual Month of Giving -- when the franchise grants more than 40 wishes to children battling serious illnesses.
"This, it's all I wanted, I'm crying,” said Antonio. “It's crazy.”
